Cookies and analytics policy

SIA Satin Agency uses browser storage and similar technologies to operate satin.agency and its private workspace. This policy supplements the Privacy policy. Contact help@satin.agency about storage or analytics choices.

1. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small values a browser sends with matching requests. Local storage keeps information in the browser until removed or disregarded by the application. Similar rules can apply to either technology. Using local storage instead of a cookie does not make optional tracking exempt from consent requirements.

Necessary security and session functions support the service you request. Optional analytics helps us understand website use and starts only after an affirmative choice in the analytics control. Closing a notice, scrolling or continuing to browse is not an analytics opt-in.

2. Necessary functions and preferences

Delivery and abuse-protection services process request and device information to serve pages and prevent misuse. Cloudflare Turnstile can process browser and security signals when you use a protected form; see its privacy notice. Blocking necessary functions may prevent submission or secure access, but declining optional analytics does not.

The private dashboard uses login sessions to keep your access secure. These are separate from public-site analytics and are not advertising identifiers. Your browser may also remember the appearance or language you chose. Storage names and lifetimes vary by application and configuration. You can view and remove cookies and local storage in your browser's site-data settings. Removing session data can sign you out, and removing preferences can reset your choices.

3. Website analytics storage

The public analytics implementation uses these first-party local-storage items on the website origin:

  • satin.analytics.consent.v1 records whether analytics is allowed and when the choice expires. The application honours it for 180 days; you can change it sooner. Saving a refusal is used to respect that refusal.
  • satin.analytics.session.v1 holds a temporary session token and limited timing/state information after opt-in. The session has a maximum 24-hour life and stops being reusable after 30 minutes of inactivity. An expired stored value can remain physically in local storage until removed or replaced; expiry prevents its use for collection.
  • satin.analytics.open.v1 holds a short-lived random opening reference to avoid counting a retried request twice. It is reused for no longer than 30 minutes and normally removed after the session opens. It is created only in the consented analytics flow.

Withdrawing consent attempts to remove the session and opening values. A browser that prevents storage changes may retain a previous saved value; the current tab stops analytics and displays a saving error. Clear the site's browser data if necessary and check the choice again when returning.

4. What analytics measures

After opt-in, Satin's collector measures allowlisted page categories, limited referral/campaign categories, approximate country, visit timing, engagement and enquiry conversion. Country comes from request metadata, not a request for precise device location. Unsupported or blocked browsers can remain unmeasured.

The collector does not store form contents, email addresses, full URL query strings, precise coordinates, a full user-agent string or raw IP addresses in its analytics database. Infrastructure still receives the network address needed to handle a request and uses a rotating derived value for abuse controls. Temporary tokens and conversion digests are limited identifiers, not proof that the data is legally anonymous.

An enquiry conversion uses a proof associated with successful enquiry acceptance. It does not send the enquiry's name, contact details, answers or raw enquiry reference to the analytics database. Conversion measurement is optional and does not determine whether an enquiry is accepted. The implementation does not use advertising pixels, cross-site advertising profiles or session-replay recordings for this measurement.

5. Retention and withdrawal

Session details and event receipts expire within 24 hours. Daily aggregate reporting covers 90 UTC dates. Separate conversion digests remain for 90 days to prevent duplicate counting. Expired records are removed by bounded scheduled cleanup, so physical deletion can follow expiry rather than occur at the exact second.

Use Analytics choices on the website to allow or decline analytics at any time. A refusal stops new optional collection. The browser also attempts to remove the current live session from the collector. This request may fail if the network is unavailable, and counts already included in aggregate reports are not reversed by this control. A privacy-rights request can be sent separately.

Choices are specific to a browser and origin; another device or clearing browser storage may require a new choice. The present control does not promise to synchronise choices through your dashboard account. Browser cookie-blocking and privacy settings offer additional controls. We do not claim support for every browser preference signal unless the specific signal has been implemented and verified.

6. Providers and future changes

Cloudflare supplies the analytics infrastructure and security/delivery services. Authorised Satin personnel can view the resulting reports. International processing and privacy rights are explained in the main policy.

We will review this inventory when changing storage, analytics, embedded media or maps. A new third-party map or media embed can send request information to another provider; such features must be assessed before activation. Optional purposes that require consent will not be treated as accepted merely because you previously allowed a different purpose.
